Yes, It Has Been 3 Years!

Looking back over the past three years, I would have never believed where we have landed, how each of our lives have changed forever, and how close we have become as a family. Yes, it has been 3 years since Jake's motor vehicle accident within the US Army. We are so very thankful each and every day for the celebration of life.

As you can see my blog posts have become not as frequent, as the healing and forgiving process has taken over to allow our entire family to move on and achieve our future hopes and dreams. Jake continues to work on his mobility and balance with workouts on his stepper in the AM and family walks of up to 2.5 miles in the afternoon. The California weather has allowed Jake to meet his walking goals each day, and push himself forward with a positive attitude aided by the beautiful sunshine, organic fruits and vegetables and beautiful California scenery.

The Harm's are on the move once again as our lease is up in our current home. And this time we have found a home just 10 miles away from our current location- that can finally accommodate to a main floor walk-in shower and main floor bedroom for Jacob. The stairs in our current home can be a bit much with his knees, so we were on the search for some health and wellness bonus items for Jacob to better assist him physically. We still found a home with a beautiful kitchen, dedicated room for Jake and our family to exercise, but the most fun- we have landed a beautiful backdoor patio with green grass, a swimming pool and spa/hot tub. We so look forward to many happy hours and backyard fun of Bocce ball, throwing the football and just hanging out to destress from the work grind and daily activities. We are so excited for this move to take place the end of April.

Life is good, life is kind, and life is what you make of it!

That's so great hear. It was so good to be able to see and hear you yesterday. The years do seem to go by quicker now. Katie is back to teaching, we have a lovely little granddaughter also. Katie still have some issues from the terrible accident, but nothing she can surmount. Cold weather really does bother her, but she works through that. What is so surprising is that this is her 10th year of teaching. It's so good to hear that everything is going in a positive path for Jacob. Sounds like your new home will be a better fit for all. Stay in touch. Carolyn
