The Pain I felt on Monday Explained

After a wonderful Sunday being back with my church family, Monday was painful — literally.

I didn’t explain this in the video:

I’ve been feeling… I don’t know… sad?  Disgruntled? that a perfectly good muscle has to have radiation, but a main purpose of the muscle is to keep the bone underneath from becoming brittle during the procedure.  A bit disappointed that my summer won’t be as I wished.  One can’t take a break during radiation to go on a family vacation.  They bombard the possible cancer cells every day so they don’t have a chance.
However, I prayed a prayer of gratitude this morning for giving me such a lovely outdoor space to recuperate in — and asked for patience.
The doctor yesterday  told me to expect 8 or 9 months of swelling and/or discomfort and radiation will stir things up.

I am going to attempt my first post- op author “gig” on Friday, Lord willing.  Joining an art show and the SHS marching band at Tom Grudis Optical downtown.  They have a cozy nook planned for me where I can keep my foot up. Planning on packing lightly.
