Brian's blood work looked good so they started his chemo as scheduled on Wednesday, 7/11/18. Brian got the phone call he was dreading this past week that due to his medical condition, they cannot allow him to continue in the ROTC program. He is devastated beyond words but knows that God has a different plan for him right now. Right now he is concentrating on getting back to school the middle of August. We are thankful to God that he is continuing to fight the cancer and we're all trying to keep a positive attitude. Your continued thoughts and prayers keep us strong. Thanks to everyone for your support. Here'a picture of our new addition to the family. His name is Jim Beam!

Hard to hear that we are celebrating Brian's ability to get more chemo. YUK! As for me, I am going to pray it kills all the bad cells and no more will be needed. As to ROTC, agree that it is unfortunate, but I'm sure that God has a great plan for Brian as he is an awesome young man. God Bless you on this journey. POSITIVE vibes coming your way!
Oh, forgot to mention the great name for the new addition to your family! Pets bring so much joy!
Love the new addition to the family!! Welcome Jim Beam can’t wait to meet you❤️❤️
Sending positive thoughts and prayers always. 🙏🏼💪🏻❤️
We know it is a rough disappointment, Brian. But we also know that your determination and faith will guide you in whatever direction you are meant to take. You are in our thoughts and prayers daily.
I'm so sorry to hear about the ROTC. I agree God has a different path for Brian, maybe after college he can be a military contractor and he makes his own rules, hours and still is involved in some capacity. I know it will all work out with Brian and his determination. Can't wait to meet Jim. Beyond adorable!!!
Oh, Brian - I'm so sorry about the ROTC. I know what a hope and dream you had for the Navy. Their loss for sure, but, as your mom said, God has another plan (which we sure can't understand at this point). He is using you, and will continue to use you, for His glory. I continue to keep you in my prayers.
We are great full that the blood work is looking good. Sorry about the ROTC program!
If one door closes, another will open. Prayers are on-going for the treatments to wash away all cancer cells and leave no side effects. Jimmy is loveable!
Brian faces the crosshairs of paradox! Good news on the chemo front and so disappointing on the ROTC decision. Yet God cannot be thwarted in his plans for Brian. I am praying that the Lord will strengthen and encourage Brain so that he will not loose heart but rather gain an even sharper focus and continue to press into his studies.
I'm so sorry about the devastating news, but Brian being Brian...he will set the world on fire no matter what. I love the name and picture of your new addition. He has a sweet face.
Jim Beam is adorable and glad to hear the blood work is good! Sorry about the ROTC. I believe when one door closes, a better one opens and Brian is destined for something great.
Stay strong guys God works in different ways. Brian you have a special place in everyone's heart please believe that things will work out for you. Continued prayers for all and know that God is on your side. You got this!!!!
Love you all including Jimmy. Always praying!!
Ohhhh, my heart hurts about the ROTC news. I'm sure it pained everyone involved to have to give that decision to such a deserving and talented candidate as Brian. But he will make his mark in another way, and he surely already is making a difference in the world. Hugs to you guys, and can't wait to meet JIm Beam (priceless name)!
We are so sorry to hear the about ROTC news. Somehow there is another destiny and path for Brian to shine! Hugs and thoughts to you all! We love, love the adorable addition Jim Beam! How poetic and perfect!
