Day 5 - Peaceful

With only three more units of chemo to complete the induction round, dropping counts brings on increasing weariness to make for a generally peaceful day. Less energetic, she received a third unit of blood to keep her stable.

"This donor must have been a bit less energetic than my first two," Cindy remarked. "Not as much a boost as I've come to expect."

Still, when I arrived later in the day, she willed herself to take a lap around the floor but could not summon gas enough for more.  Crashing back in her room, we together watched our beloved Spartans suffer a stunning defeat to Indiana.  Oh well....

A shout out to Cindy's growing "Village" for following her progress and praying her onward. We love you all.

[The photo is a classic Cindy shot, natural foreground "framing" the Lake Michigan background.  Taken at the 2009 Trevisan Family Reunion, a print of this hangs somewhere in our home. Do you know where?]

Peace comes knowing you are in the very middle of God's will, in His hands (Isaiah 49:16) and knowing that He is doing immeasurably more than we can imagine (Ephesians 3: 20-21) and the power of His overflowing healing (Isaiah 49: 24-25) is spilling out to others as they follow your journey. Rest easy and allow His healing power and infinite love flow over you and Glenn. Mike

A thought for this week - Mark 4: 35 "That day when evening came, He said to His disciples, 'Let us go over to the other side,'" Jesus didn't say, you go out on the lake and maybe I will see you in the future. He said let us, He goes with us. Jesus didn't say you go out in the lake to drown. He was so confident of His power and authority and care for the disciples that He fell asleep. Even the forces of nature were under His command. He still asks His disciples to trust Him and then HE GETS INTO OUR BOAT. That wasn't Jesus' boat! He experiences what we experience. His goal was to get to the other side safely, in fact keep reading on through Mark 5: 20. Jesus had an appointment to keep and He wanted the disciples to go there with Him and experience His power along the way. He is in your boat with you, even in rough seas, and there is a guy named Glenn manning one of the oars!
