Pushing Through
[Pictures: Australia coastline compliments of daughter Laura who is presently vacationing there.]
Although still weary, Cindy had more of her customary spark back today. While the mouth sores persist, a couple treatments are being tried for those: 1) rinsing with bi-carbonate soda and 2) an oral, anti-viral med, Acyclovir. At Glenn's request, the nurse will also look into using Nystatin, a proven treatment used as a rinse or a teeth/mouth brushing agent.
Her appetite improved today as she enjoyed a heartier breakfast and lunch vs. the last few days. She also noticed that the metallic taste in her mouth is less.
Visitors today were friend, Char and Glenn who also accompanied Cindy for 2 laps around the floor.
The docs suspect the Cindy may have contracted a baterial infection in her blood. We pray those tests return a negative result.

Deuteronomy 31: 6 There are 365 admonitions in scripture built around the thought "Do Not Fear", one for each day. God has our days covered, He is there before we are. The antidote for fear is not courage...it is faith!
JAN take note. (Glenn's sister, Jan gave Cindy is little card with that same revelation, as well as "That's a daily reminder from God to be FEARLESS every day." The little card is on the wall of Cindy's hospital room.) Great minds...
Sending love and hugs and prayers.
“Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:28-31 NIV Hope this day finds you with a “spark”, as Glenn put it! Close your eyes and picture soaring! Praying there is no blood infection and you hopefully continue to improve in strength!💕
