Will I Go?

Friends, have you noticed many events about to occur in our lives, God chooses not disclose beforehand. We “think it strange" when trials come upon us, and usually need time to adjust to our new path. I often wonder if God told me about my cancer before it appeared in my body, would I accept His special mission, even if it meant loss of health? I know my heart, and that’s exactly why He waited. I needed to be ready to receive His work. 

I want to share this hypothetical conversation between God and I. 

“Cindy! Cindy!"  
"Yes, Lord," I respond.   
"I have a special mission for you.”  
With eagerness I say, "Ok.“
"It will take place in Rochester," my Lord adds.  
"Rochester! You know I love Rochester. Will I be able to minister to the sick? Or better yet, will my dream to have a hospitality house come true?"  
Softly the Lord replies, "I need you to go for over a year to the Gonda Building, 10th floor East."  
I think for a moment, I have no idea what's on the 10th floor of Gonda. I'm only familiar with the cardiac 6th floor, Mayo Building. "Lord, what's on the 10th floor?”  
He waits a few minutes to respond and then gently replies, "the chemo dept."  
My heart is pounding as I realize this is a very tough assignment. But the day I entered the dept. God showed me the 50 chemo nurses and other medical staff who needed the sunshine of His love, the many gifts of gratitude, the hearing of the good news, and the literature of gospel tracts and pamphlets.

The reality of it all, dear friends, God opened doors continually to share the joy of Christ in a dreary center. Never forget, your prayers were a huge part of this ministry as well. Thank you for faithfully and fervently praying those powerful prayers for spiritual matters. 

Only Heaven will unfold, the precious souls who's lives were transformed in Rochester 2020.
