Tuesday, August 2, 2016: Time for a new port

I'll update more after tomorrow (Wednesday, August 3, 2016). Things have been going well, but I wanted to let you know and ask for your prayers as Edward has surgery at 11:15 tomorrow to replace his port. It stopped working a few weeks ago after his IVIg infusion, and all attempts to fix the blockage were unsuccessful. We're grateful that it lasted for two and a half years. Tomorrow's surgery should be simple and quick--about an hour. Please pray that Edward is calm when they put in his IV, as well as that the surgery goes well. Thank you so much!
The first picture is of the kids on a Sabbath morning in April. The second one is of Edward receiving his IVIg infusion at home a couple weeks ago.

Emilie dear, I've started praying - as soon as I saw the edge of the first striking pictures here of your three precious growing children, my heart became again entwined with this little brave soldier. Am sure I'm just one of many thousands. May God give Edward strength and peace tomorrow and carry him through this surgery. Love, Donna and Dan Jackson

We are praying for a huge success in his surgery as well as continued improvement in all of his skills. Dear Lord please watch over Edward today especially and be with is family that they will not be to worried about him as he is in his doctor's care. Hold him ever so close, bless the doctors hands as they care for him. Thank you Father for your blessings and care of Edward and the DeVasher family. Amen

Emilie thank you for the update. Yes will be praying and looking forward to the next update. Nice photos. Edward is growing up nicely. It's nice he could do the infusion at home. That's so much easier on him and all of you. Praying, Rachel

You are all in our thoughts and prayers. May the Lord grant you an abundant portion of peace and comfort as He continues to take care of Edward.
Our prayers and thoughts are with you dear ones. All your little ones are safely in God's hands--praise Him! Love, Andrea and Allen
Emily, I have been praying for Edward's surgery since this past Sunday. We continue to pray daily for Edward's full recovery as well as for you, Kameron, Henry and little Molly. God is so good and He is so wise. Most times we do not understand His wisdom, but one thing is for sure, He does not make mistakes. Therefore, I always end my prayers asking that His will be done. I know that He is taking care of Edward and I praise His Holy Name for His great Love and Care that He bestowes upon that child, as well as all His little children.
What a blessing to have a Hope and God that hears us when we talk to Him. And to know that He is with us where ever we are. With Edward today, as he is bathed in prayer, as he goes thru this procedure. May the medical team see and feel the power of our Heavenly Father as this little lamb is ministered to this morning and the days following.
I love seeing pictures of these 3 precious & beautiful gifts.....prayers for each of you that surgery is successful with little stress on Edward

I'm just getting this cause I'm still using my old email [email protected]. I appreciate hearing updates about Edward and your family to see how our prayers are being answered. It was so sweet to see your family when you dropped by on eclipse day. So glad you were able to enjoy the day. May God continue to bless and guide you.
