One Month

It's hard to believe but it has been one month since Eric left us. One month.  At times it seems a lot longer and yet at other times, it seems like just yesterday. Learning to move forward in this strange world without Eric is hard. Incredibly hard. It's hard to know that we will never hear another math joke, another snarky comment, or even another funny movie quote. Hard to know that we will never again get to see his contagious smile or that ornery twinkle in his eye. 

it is easy to dwell on the hard stuff, as there  is a lot of it, but the one thing that has truly made this past month a little more bearable and a lot less hard, is the support from each of you. From cards and well wishes to dinners and dog walks, the outpouring of love and support has undoubtedly been a source of brightness throughout these difficult days. 

Thank you doesn't even begin to express the gratitude that I have for each of you. You have held me up on days when it was impossible to stand. You have given me strength on days when I had none.  You have sat with me, cried with me, hugged me, and most importantly, you have loved and remembered Eric with me. You have shared, and continue to share your memories and recollections of Eric. All of that makes each day a little more bearable. 

For all of it, I am extremely grateful; grateful beyond measure. 

I am so very appreciative to those of you who have chosen to honor Eric with a donation to the Dr. Eric Sullivan Data Science Fund. It has been overwhelmingly beautiful and humbling to see how many of you have generously donated to to the fund to help ensure that Eric's legacy continue to live forward in the next generation of students and to help Eric be able to continue to positively influence students' lives.  

On behalf of Eric, and the entire Sullivan Family, I want to say it again: thank you for supporting us, loving us, supporting Eric's legacy, and for helping Eric continue to live within all of us!
