Disney Day 1: Give Kids the World and Magic Kingdom

Today was a great start. Give Kids the World is the Make a Wish resort, and everyone here is so kind. We came in a few minutes after breakfast had ended, so they saved some food for us, and sent us to the Gingerbread Cafe to eat before we even checked in. Many of the people here are volunteers, and you can tell that they love devoting their time to making the kids here happy. We had a personal escort show us where the carousel  and the ice cream shop are. 

We did Magic Kingdom today with Grandma and Grandpa Smith. It rained on and off, but we just put on our ponchos and still had a great time. The princesses were amazing, and described things to Eva, and let her feel their dress details, their hair, and their tiaras. Elena of Avalon had Everett make a muscle for her, and even gave me a hug at the end. For my friends who heard me say I only wanted to have fun and did not want to cry, Princess Elena did me in. She said, “Come here, Mama” and went in for that hug. 

We went on lots of good rides, and Eva took turns riding with everyone, so I got to ride some with Vivian and Everett, which is always nice. 

We scheduled a spa appointment for Eva at our resort Sunday morning, but they were able to pull some strings and turn it into a Princess Anna makeover before we go to see Anna and Elsa at Epcot. This was the first time I cried. They are getting her an Anna dress and everything. Vivi and Everett will have appointments too. We talked about crazy hair or temporary tattoos. 

Definitely a magical first day. ❤️
