Another fantastically boring day, full of improvements for Garrett!  The feeding tube has been removed. Okay, he pulled it out, the doctors just decided to not put it back in. Garrett is still on the saline solution, however, the doctors are considering weaning him off of it starting tomorrow - this takes a couple of days. That being said, we are still looking at another 2-3 days in the ICU.  Garrett received a bit of a shave today, which he helped with.  He may be able to go back to solid food tomorrow. Garrett also received physical and speech therapy. No occupational therapy, but how's this for cognitive motor skills?!

Yeah, one-handed texting! So, guess my jobs done!  Garrett'll keep you all up to date from here on. Just go easy on him with things like spelling, punctuation, basically all grammar... Ha! I kid! This really is a great improvement. I'm sure Garrett has already texted a few of you guys. If you have his number, feel free to say, "Hi".  But let's keep it at texts for now, please.

Garrett definitely has his wit and humor about him. We'll post some of his greatest hits soon - that'll be fun.  Garrett's youngest, Regan made it through her surgery just fine, with a brand new sparkly pink cast and bright smile intact.  You can be sure we are super excited with Garrett's improvement and extremely thankful for all the prayers, well wishes, messages of hope - it's all working to help Garrett.  Keep sending your love, please and thank you!  We'll keep you updated here!
