And the award for "Most Likely to Receive a Grammy" goes to...

I have a cute story for you... Gracie's senior class voted her most likely to receive a Grammy, and some of her friends from Santa Barbara High School came up to tell her the news. It was a wonderful, lighthearted moment, and some much appreciated sunshine in her day. Gracie is a third generation student at Santa Barbara High School.... I went there, as did my father (Gracie's grandfather).

As for the tracheotomy yesterday, the procedure went well, although Gracie continued to be a bit groggy from the medications this morning. We are all looking forward to a more comfortable condition now that she's no longer intubated.

Thank you all again for your wonderful love and support. It has really meant a lot to Gracie, Bill, Emily, and I... so much love in the midst of these tough times brightens our days.

Debbie

Singing with a trach tube. That WILL be worth a Grammy - when Gracie is up to it! (there are some special speech valves that make it possible, too :)

Such a great moment for you all. Please tell Gracie congratulations from us and glad to hear the procedure went well. Our small group was thrilled to learn the baby steps that Gracie is experiencing. Next week I will bring your Christmas card so they all can put a face to the sweet family they are praying for.
