One step forward...one step back.

Evelyn has been awake for a couple of hours now!! Which is fantastic. Unfortunately, there has been another big dip in her red and white blood cell count and platelet count, so much so they have done another blood transfusion.

Her heart rate is also still high. We were hoping that would come down a bit faster.

When mom got there, Ev was awake. Mom said "I love you!" and Ev mouthed 'I love you' back. Brought mom to tears. Ev is still here, still with us - and for that we are thankful.

They have results from her bone marrow test and other tests (can't remember them, and didn't ask specifically today) and are waiting for the DR. to deliver them.

Hopefully they will hold some answers.

SSSS - the staph sclading skin syndrome is quite painful and Ev is not all that comfortable. They have uped her pain medication for that. Her back is still covered in blisters, though she indicates her thumb is the cause of more pain.

She blinked three times in a row, indicating she wanted her glasses this morning. Mom took several guesses first!

Praying for answers and stability that would allow Ev to be transferred home!

Thank-you everyone for reading, and your kind messages.
