Words cannot express how sorry I feel for you and your family. I have followed your journey and prayed that this wasn't happening to your family. I found out I was pregnant shortly before Baby Katelyn was born and I for some reason I knew everything was going to turn out just fine. I was so excited until I found out Baby Katelyn's condition. I wondering why this could ever happen to someone. I got up every morning and read the updates and all the progress she had made. I lost my baby on Jan. 27 at 11 weeks and I fell apart. Loosing a child no matter how big or small, I would not wish on my worst emeny. She was truly amazing Katy and I am so glad you were able to spend the time you did with your baby girl and hold her and show her the love that you had and you continue to have for her. God Bless all the little angels and watch over them until we are able to be with again.

I know there are many songs for parents who have lost a child. This is the link to "Hug him once for me" that was written by my Assistant Pastor's wife after they lost their 5 1/2 month old son. We had a little EB baby who we got to know and I believe Erica sang this song for her funeral, changing male to female. I was brought to your journey through COLESFOUNDATION. I'm sad that it's at the end of a precious little life and the beginning of your healing. I have poured my heart out over your photos which capture the essence of her time here...UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! From the descriptions of her eye contact/stares to the visits from big brother she certainly had no problem engaging your hearts...in that regard- she was totally healthy and whole. I'm sorry for the days of physical pain that greeted you on this journey and those ahead that will test your faith. Heaven is REAL and as for babies, THEY ARE PRECIOUS IN HIS SIGHT! Brad and Katy: I cried and laughed at the same time thinking of Grandpa Jim coming down on his birthday to hold Katelyn’s hand and take her to heaven with him to keep her company until you guys are called to care for her again. She could not be in better hands with him. He will make her laugh all the time and he will see her big Beautiful smile. She was loved here on earth and now will be love in heaven with family.
