Lisa's Story
Dear Friends,
This site has been created to provide updates on the status and recovery of our friend Lisa. Last week, Lisa received the unfortunate news that cancer has returned. Lisa had been dealing with neck pain and when the traditional remedies did not work, she had an MRI that showed a break in her neck due to cancer in cervical C5 and C6. Lisa will have two surgeries on her neck and a battery of tests this week to determine the next steps for her cancer treatment.
Lisa was admitted to Porter Adventist Hospital in Denver, CO on Thursday, April 8 and her first surgery is Monday, April 12 to remove and replace 2 cervical sections in her neck area. Her second surgery is on Thursday, April 15 to reinforce and stabilize those surgical repairs.
We will use this site for updates and provide messages from Lisa and the family. Please share your words of encouragement and good vibes as Lisa and the family feel inspired by all the love, prayers and wishes they've been receiving. Sweet Lisa and fellow warrior - I have no doubt that you will come out this stronger and mightier than ever! You are a survivor and full of life. You are one of my favorite people - so funny, smart, creative and caring, and a bit sarcastic which I love! Soul Sisters for sure and I was really hoping we would be neighbors in CO - but life took us to FL (for now). You are loved by sooooo many and we are all praying for your full and speedy recovery.
