The doctors intended to resect Louis' left coronary artery and shift the position a bit to improve blood flow. Once in surgery, they found the position of the artery was good, but there was some tissue pushing on it which was restricting the blood flow.
They removed the tissue but the artery seems firm, which is an issue they'll address next.
Louis is on a bypass machine called ECMO, which does the work of his heart (pumping blood to his body) so it can rest. We don't have a timeline of what's next, it all depends on how Louis responds and how his heart recovers. Hopefully, we know more by the end of the day, but most likely it will be a few days until we know what's next.
I don't know what to think. I'm afraid to think. Dan and I are struggling. We are struggling to hold each other up and to physically move forward each moment.

Dear Lord, we pray for this family and for this little boy. Please heal them all. Help them to lean on each other and to lean on you, even in the anger and frustration of being so helpless. Please heal Louis. Let him have miraculous healing. Please Lord.
I ache for you. The thoughts of what you all are going through are too much. I can't imagine. I am so sorry that you don't know what is coming next, or when it is coming, or how to deal with it. My thoughts have been with you all since the beginning. I wish there was something anyone could do to help... :/
Love and prayers for all. It is all I can think to say, I am without words.
We are praying so very hard for Louis. We love you.
So sorry to hear of more complications with your sweet baby boy. Let us know if we can help! Can't imagine how hard this is for both of you. Thinking of you guys!
