t has been more than a month since I have posted any updates and for that, I am sorry. A lot has happened in the last month. We are now going to weekly sono appointments to make sure Mason’s growth is on track and he is doing well. Last time we went he weighed 4 pounds 11 ounces and was doing great!

We have our airplane tickets purchased and are flying out on Saturday, June 15. Yes, that is only 19 days away! Trust me, the anxiety is starting to build not only for me but for all of us.

We will be staying at Yawkey Family Inn which is within walking distance of the hospital. It looks beautiful from the outside, but we have not seen many pictures other than that. We will have to post some when we get there! This is an old Frat house that they have turned into a 22 bedroom home for families with children that are in or must stay near the hospital. We are scheduled to be there until August 3rd.

Once we get there we will hopefully stay pretty busy. On Monday, June 17th we have a fetal echo appointment at Boston Children's Hospital. Then on Friday, June 21st we will be meeting with the L&D team at Brigham and Women's Hospital for several appointments. When it comes to Baby Mason's arrival, if he hasn't made his grand entrance by 39 weeks they are going to induce me. **I am going to ask for a July 4th baby, but we will see!** The plan is for me to have Mason at Brigham and Women’s Hospital which is joined to the Children’s Hospital. After Mason is born they will assess him and decide whether we will get to spend some time with him then or not. Either way, he will then be transported to the Children’s Hospital ICU for further assessment and to provide any medical interventions he may need.

We are going to try to make the most of our time in Boston so if you have any free/inexpensive ideas for us, let me know!

I am glad you are all in this journey with us and I cannot wait till we all get to meet the little man!
