February 12

Since February 6th, Meghan has had a rougher time dealing with the side affects of the chemo.  The worst right now is mouth sores which makes it hard for her to talk and eat.  The back pain has subsided for the most part, but she is having pains in other parts of her body.  Went to the hospital today for her blood count check as well as a pulmonary function test, EKG, and sonogram of her chest area.  Overall everying went well, just have to wait for the results.

Despite the pains she doesn't let that keep her down.  After the hospital visit today we went out to lunch and had chinese then headed to the mall to Vera Bradley to use a coupon we had received in the mail.  She is a shopaholic :) Once we got home she took a nap and is now at church with her Grandmother.

When we got home she had a large box waiting for her and in it were 133 Wishes (see picture) from the 4th grade students at Waterford Elementary School in New Jersey along with fun pens, a monkey and candy, etc.  It sure put a smile on her face.  Thank you!!!

She is looking forward to seeing everyone at the fun run next month.  We love getting the pictures of everyone wearing the "Fight Like A Girl" t-shirts.

Meghan checks the posts to this web site daily and gains strength and encouragement from all of them.  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the support she has received and continues to receive.

Now we are preparing for the 4th and final cycle of chemo, scheduled to start next Wednesday.  As with the other cycles, it will be 3 days of chemo and she will spend those days in the hospital.  Then the following week will be one day, and the very last dose, of chemo.  Next week we will also be meeting with the doctor from radiation to begin planning for the next phase of Meghan's treatment.

Again, thank you for all the support and encouragement for Meghan.  We couldn't do this without you, our family and friends.

God Bless you all!

Michele
