My other intention for this blog is to help others get an inside glimpse into the reality of this process. A couple days ago, I found a young woman's blog who had battled lymphoma & started her chemo exactly 2 years, to the day, before Mike. Reading her updates has helped me get a pretty good picture as to what to expect. I know everyone is different, but a lot of it is the same. I would like to help someone in that same way that she has helped me. Maybe even help another woman whose husband is going through this.
Having a sick spouse and three very young children has been the hardest thing I've had to endure. It is physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausting. I'm trying to juggle it all, but with the help of our family and friends, the burden has been lifted. I will be forever grateful for every single message, call, text, prayer, hug, you name it... It is a great reminder that we have an amazing support system. I liked what my friend told me, Mike's got this, I've got him, my friends/family have got me. She is so right. (And smart) I will continue to lean on those around me.
