A short update from today!
After we talked to Cal early Saturday morning, we FaceTimed again later in the day. Jim (dad), Sheralyn (mom), Tanner (brother), Ryder (brother), and I got to FaceTime and we are blown away and excited about Cal's progress. We can tell she is fighting! When we were talking to her and telling her how much we love her, we could see that she was trying so hard to open her eyes to see us. Her dad asked her to lift right arm (which is the side she currently has a deficit in) and SHE DID IT!! She also gave us a peace sign ✌️which is so her! Moments like this encourage us to press on and stay optimistic.
The plan is still to have the doctors and nurses work to get her off of the ventilator by Monday. We could use huge prayers throughout the weekend and going into Monday for this next milestone.
We are excited for the day that we can see her in person 🤍We will continue to update everyone once we hear more news.
