WE GOT A VICTORY TODAY!!!!!

GREAT NEWS๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜ Callahan's MRI looked great! The neuro surgeon showed us the last three MRI’s (before and after surgery and today)he showed us that it looks like the infection is gone; there’s a little Abnormality where the abscess was that he wants to watch but he is not worried and thinks it may just be scar tissue. SO next steps are she will get to take the Picc line out by this weekend ๐Ÿ˜ƒ and she will continue to take oral antibiotics for another 8 weeks and then in April she will have another MRI! If the MRI looks good she will not need another MRI!!! The doctor also said God forbid something happens while we are in Florida and we need her to see a doctor he has a neuro surgeon in Fort Meyers that he knows and trusts. We have her last appointment with Dr Tessema (ENT)next week and then she is finished with appointments until we get back in April! Such great news๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜[...]

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Callahan's picture sums up how we feel about 2020!!!!   We are so excited to share that Callahan is doing awesome!  Please be in prayer for January 13th-- it will be a BIG day as Callahan will have a MRI and then see the neuro surgeon right after.  This will show if the infection in her brain has reduced to a point where she will not need to receive antibiotics through an IV but possibly take them orally or Maybe NONE at all!!!! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ’•[...]

MERRY EVERYTHING!!!

Callahan has been home for two weeks and she is getting better everyday!  She came home with a PICC line and she gets antibiotics through an IV three times a day and another one pushed through a syringe.  She has handled those very well.  Cal continues to have Physical Therapy while at home which has really helped.  January 13th will be a BIG day as Callahan will have a MRI and then see the neuro surgeon right after.  This will show if the infection in her brain has reduced to a point where she will not need to receive antibiotics through an IV but possible take them orally.  Please keep Callahan in your prayers as this date gets closer! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ’•[...]

December 10th Update:

We are day five after surgery and Callahan is doing great!!!๐Ÿ’•  She is walking and sitting in her chair but most of all she doesn't have the painful headaches she was experiencing before surgery. They have clamped the drain from her head this morning and after she has another CT scan if everything goes well she will have the drain removed tomorrow and will be able to leave the ICU!  Our hope and prayer is that she will return home next week.[...]

SURGERY UPDATE:  12/5/2020

The Craniotomy Surgery was just completed and lasted about five hours.  Our baby girl did great!  We spoke to all the surgeons present they feel very positive that they got all the infection out of the brain and made sure that all leaks were sealed.  She will remain in the ICU for the next five days for continual observation.  We ask that you please continue to pray for cal over the next few days as we learn how her brain has responded to the surgery. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™[...]

We could use tons of prayers this morning from all of our friends and family ๐Ÿ™๐ŸผCal has an abscess infection connecting from her sinuses to her brain and they will be performing surgery this morning. We are praying for every doctor and nurse that they have the wisdom to solve the infection and gentleness to comfort Cal through the surgery. We are praying that every single cell that is infected is cleared and every cell begins to heal already this morning in Jesus name. [...]
