We could use all of our prayer warriors 馃檹馃徏
We are grateful for the progress Cal is making but know along the way there are going to be bumps. It was a bittersweet day on Sunday. The doctors attempted to take Cal off the ventilator and after trying to sustain breathing for a few hours, her left lung partially collapsed. The doctor's worked on her and got her to a stable place which we are thankful for. We have seen so many steps forward in just the first week and we know that this is just a small set back.
Sunday over night was uneventful, which we were told by the doctors that this is a good sign. She will be incubated for another week in ICU and the goal going into Monday is to get her lung function increased. Please keep praying as well all know, God's got this 鉂わ笍

Every day is a new day for this beautiful child of God. Created in his image, she exudes strength, character, humor, talent, beauty, and sheer joy. She just needs some help right now, God, as she recovers from her injuries. Please protect her and guide with your gentle hands to a position of greater strength each day. She is surrounded by your love and that of family and friends. She also has the best medical care imaginable. Through the strength you instilled in her from birth, she will prevail and recover. Sometimes, God takes time with these things to ensure that all things bright and beautiful are aligned within the universe. God bless Callahan and her loving family, friends, and medical staff as she heals. Warrior Callahan! We love you!

I鈥檓 praying hard for Callahan and you all to keep up your strength. I reached out to Carey because I saw your post and didn鈥檛 want to bother Jimmy at this time. Jim and I went to high school together and our kids all went to lollipop nursery school together. This cuts my heart deeply. I feel so bad, I too have a boy the same age as Callahan who was in a terrible accident and he pulled through just fine. I鈥檓 sending all my positive thoughts your way. Hang in there. 鉂わ笍
