9/26 Update
Saturday was a great day!
Cal got the left and final tube out of her lung! This is a huge answered prayer 馃檶馃徏
Cal is in great spirits today! Today was a big day for her as she got to see George for the first time since the accident and Ryder for the first time since being back home. It was a priceless moment as she had both of them lay with her and they got to just talk together. It was a very special moment for the boys. Her mom also had a great idea to bring lotion to give Cal feet and leg massages until she goes to sleep 鉂わ笍She is getting the royal treatment and just know she is loving it! One funny thing that happened today; while the Neuro Doctor was here talking to us, Cal said "shhhhh" to him. He was interrupting her napping 馃槀. That is our Cal! The time that we have all had with Cal over the past week has been so special and we are forever grateful.
Speech therapy will perform the swallow test Monday. To prepare for the test they have been giving her apple sauce and a little water. The Neuro doctor said most likely by next week Callahan will be heading off to inpatient rehabilitation care. The biggest prayer need right now is that she passes the swallowing test on Monday so we can continue moving forward with her recovery 馃檹馃徏

Kelly this is INCREDIBLE! I HOPE you got a picture of her with the boys. Great idea from Mom too! That will probably help stimulate the blood flow in her feet and I鈥檓 sure she鈥檚 restless to get up and get going! Who doesn鈥檛 love to be pampered? Prayers that she slays the swallow test and I am SO happy that she got those tubes out! Now she can get to rockin and rollin in rehabilitation! Her determination will take her so far so quickly. Incredible news about my Xena, warrior princess! You are doing great Cal, and so sweet about laying in bed with your brothers and getting lotion massages. I will continue in prayer for you, my baby girl! You will rock the swallow test! And your doctors are healing you well through the hands of Jesus, the healer of the universe! I love you!
