9/28 Update
Update for Monday, we got to visit Callahan again today. She did better today but did not pass the swallow test 🙁I had a good few hours with her and she asked me to wash her hair and play some music. She picked Adele, of course 🥰We had a great talk with her as I helped wash her hair.
Cal has been moved to "the floor unit" for more comfort which means less disruptions and cords that get wrapped around her! We met with the team to discuss next steps. We are making a decision soon on what inpatient rehabilitation facility she will be going to. Although this was not the exact outcome we wanted today, there were still huge improvements!
We are praying for patience and strength for Cal. This is all very hard for her 💕

Lord please wrap Callahan in your loving arms so that she may know your comfort and peace within her. Only you Lord know the outcome but we all have faith in you and trust that you are fighting for her. May you fill her with your love and strength so that she can face what’s ahead of her. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen. Love you Cal - you have this sweet girl!! ❤️❤️❤️😘🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Dear God, May the guiding strength of your presence and protection of your glorious feathers (Psalm 91) protect Callahan as she moves to the new unit. May she be guided to strength and improvement in her swallowing - one day at a time. Grant her patience, peace, and love, knowing that we are all rooting for her and cheering her on. With prayers and love, and continued infusion of strength and energy from a distance. Love, Aunt Carey. You got this, Cal #prayforcal We love you!
Callahan, just remember to take a deep breath and know that God is working miracles in you. Believe that you are healed! See it! Say it! Know that we are all cheering you on! It will not happen overnight, but you will get better and better each day!! I believe in you!! You are amazing! We love you!! 💖 Breathe in Gods love and breathe out the worry!
Thinking of all of you and what a brave courageous woman Callahan is! 👍🙏❤️♥️
