10/3 Update

Callahan is getting settled in to Gaylord. It's really hard for her to transition and doesn't feel like herself. 😔

They have started to get he to walk some which has been difficult so far. She is also still having difficulties when she tries to talk. They are also having her wear these special glasses to help her right eye movement. Since she has arrived at Gaylord they have been really focussing on doing all of their assessments on her. On Tuesday they will be able to give us a full encompassing game plan on her recovery at Gaylord and a tentative discharge date.

We are asking for prayers for Callahan to stay strong and positive through this transition and for when she learns what the future game plan will be 🙏🏼❤️

Callahan, you are going to rock this!! My beautiful niece, I pray.. “Dear Lord, I want to bring Callahan to you right now. I know that she is not feeling herself, and worry is taking a lot of her emotional energy. I pray that You will give her special peace in the midst of her crisis; draw close to her. Give her confidence that healing will come. I pray that that You will give her doctors special insight and wisdom during her rehabilitation. Show them how to treat her to relieve the pain and bring healing. I remember the portion of Isaiah 53:3 that says, ‘…by his wounds we are healed’. I believe you, God will heal the sick! Thank-you in advance for what You will do! Amen”.

Stay strong Cal! Remember it’s pretty normal in any recovery to have to have off days or have to step backward to move forward. Do not be discouraged. God is with you and so are we! Love and prayers ❤️🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻😘

We're all rooting for you, Callahan! You can do this. Take one day at a time. It's going to be tough at first, but you WILL get through it! This is your new journey. God will be with you every step of the way. Think of the strength you will need and let Him give it to you. You will find it, you will use it, and you will come out of this stronger than you ever thought you could be. Let your five-year-old determined, sassy, confident self (the one I remember well) emerge and lead the charge! Love, Mrs. Zacchio
