10/6 Update
Cal is doing well! She is struggling with being at Gaylord and just wants to be at home in her own bed. It's hard to be alone in a strange place and not knowing how long you will be there. All three of us continue to share in her journey and go visit her daily. We keep telling her she is in the best place for her to make a full recovery!
Today all of the different therapy disciplines meet and discuss Callahan's case and make the plan for the week. They will continue to do this every Tuesday. Callahan is eager to see what they come back with and how long she will be at Gaylord.
Our prayer is for Callahan to take this time and get herself in a great place mentally and physically. We need continued prayers for hope and for Callahan to keep fighting hard even when things aren't going perfectly. We keep telling Cal that God is with her every step of the way and to lean on Him because He is the one that has the power to get her through this 🙏🏼❤️

Dear Callahan: you are doing so well and I am proud of your bravery. You are at the right place - God has brought you there to recover with ease. Take it easy and know that we are all 🙏 And rooting for you. One step at a time. One day at a time. Be patient with yourself and know that soon, you will be home in your comfy bed, helping out with meals and doing stuff at home. I had to be in the hospital for a long time once too. I know it’s hard. But you have the will and perseverance to move mountains, dear one. We love you! Auntie Carey
Callahan, as my mom told me when I had to go through 8 rounds of chemotherapy, just shut your eyes, put your head down, and run through it. I didn't understand what she meant until everything began. She was comparing the pain and frustration to running through a forceful sprinkler for the first time. It's awful. While you're going through this, it's going to be hard and frustrating at the beginning. The more you work, the easier it will get. You have such a strong will...so RUN though it! Praying for your peace, patience, and perseverance!
Praying that Callahan will be out of there soon! It’s all in God’s hands🙏🙏🙏
