10/10 Update
Well, it has been a little over a week since Cal has moved to Gaylord rehab and it was a week to celebrate how far she has come!
The team met about Callahan's case and gave her a tentative discharge date of October 28th. Cal has been cleared to have regular food and she is so excited about that! 🙌🏼She immediately knew what she wanted and asked for pickles. She was also able to have a Salty Dog, which is her absolute favorite drink. We all know how much Cal LOVES lemons!! 😍
They have been working to correct her right eye and the double vision. So excited to report that the double vision is almost gone and her eye movement is coming normal. ❤️🙌🏼During OT they are working on her writing. She was able to cook eggs this week during her group OT session. Those of you that know Cal, you know she loves to cook! This brightened her week and made her so happy. During PT she has been working on walking and really focusing on her balance and strength.
She has made huge strides but not as much as Callahan would like. We keep telling her she has come so far in just 5 weeks! She knows each day she needs to wake up and kick butt!! 💪🏼💕Right now she is really struggling with her appearance. We could use tons of prayers for Cal to maintain focussed on getting better and that she sees her beauty inside and out when she looks in the mirror.
Callahan did tell us yesterday that she believes all of your prayers have been working 🙏🏼😘💕Thank you for continuing to support Callahan and our family. We are grateful every single day!

If waking up and kicking butt each day is what she needs to do, then that is playing directly into her strengths. This kid is unstoppable! Way to go Cal!!!
That is great news! Keep it coming! She is still in our prayers and will be until the full recovery happens. You can do it!
Pickles and salty dogs! That’s my Cal! I remember when I introduced her to peanut butter and pickle sandwiches as a child and she fell in love! Cal- you are making great progress! Amazing update thank you Kelly. Praying for Callahan and y’all everyday ❤️
Thank you so much for this update. It thrills David and I to hear all the accomplishments Cal has made. We pray for her every morning. She is such a treasure, a beautiful jewel. Hey gs to you all.
So happy to get this encouraging update on Cal's progress. Reese keeps me posted and Margus gave me one of the bracelets you sent which I wear everyday. You are all in my prayers, love you Cal! ❤️
Pickles!! I love it!
Callahan, you never knew your great grandmother, Gaga who was born with 2 club feet and had to endure numerous operations! She was your grandfather’s and my Mom and had the most positive attitude, always moving forward 1 small step at a time!!From what I hear from Aunt Katie and Aunt Carey, you have her strength and determination 👍You can do this 1 small step at a time👍💕👍Susie and all the Margraf/ Minella families
Beauty on the outside can fade, but beauty from within is radiant and lives on forever. You have that in spades! Keep doin' whatcha' doin' and keep shining.
I know how much us girls focus on our outward appearance- especially in our 20s. Please remind Cal that hair grows back and scars fade. She is so beautiful and strong on the inside - if she stays focused the rest will fall into place! Love you guys.
Cal, keep plugging...you got this! Dill or Bread & Butter?...please don't tell me you like the Bread & Butter!
She’s definitely dill. The sour kind!
Dear Cal—this is wonderful news, although it makes me feel bad that I’m a horrible procrastinator “meaning to” send a card to you at Gaylord! Sorry! I will have to send it home which is fantastic! Keep up the hard work. Whether fast or slow, progress is progress! We are all pulling for you and sending love and best wishes! Take care and hurray!!! The Berrys
