Surgery is Scheduled for Wednesday!
Shannon met with Dr. Sawaya, the head of Neurosurgery at MDA, and he is WONDERFUL!!
Surgery is scheduled for Wednesday, February 24th. Time of surgery is still to be determined.

Much love, many prayers. My sis had neurosurgery at UC-San Francisco. Each of these surgeons specialize on a particular type of tumor or area of the brain. There is no "general brain surgeon" as my sis unfortunately learned at the hand of neurosurgeons in Owensboro. It happened to be "Fleet Week" in SF when we arrived for her appointments and subsequent surgery. (Like you, every thing magically fell into place; a God-incidence.) We got to tour an aircraft carrier before her surgery. The aircraft carrier pilots were as cocky & self-confident as Tom Cruse portrayed in Top Gun! We met her surgical team the morning of the surgery & realized they too were Top Guns. You don't want a neurosurgeon who will have a crisis of faith in the operating room. It sounds as if your team of Top Gun Surgeons & Clowns has assembled. Godspeed.
