Chemo: Round 5
As I begin my fifth round of at home chemo, I feel great. I know this is just a ruse. There are a few basics that I know to be true:
1) If I do not start miralax tonight and continue to drink a dose every single day until Sunday, I will pay for it starting on about Thursday.
2) My own home has become a contamination zone. Jason has caught a cold just at the worst possible time. He will be in quarantine and I will be wearing masks in my own bedroom! And forget having his help if I get too tired!
3) I realized when getting blood drawn this morning to be sent to MDA, that the cancer clinic here has decent phlebotomists.
4) Fifteen days after this round I'm back at MDA for my next scan and then it starts all over again.
5) I can do this as many times as is necessary. Even on the bad days.
