Optune
So Monday, I got my Optune device. A product specialist delivered it to me. Together we went over absolutely every nut and bolt, gauze strip, electrical lead, battery and on and on. She buzzed my head, to the point there was barely stubble on my scalp, she applied the arrays or the bandaid looking things on my scalp(she came with a map of my skull!), the bandaid glue is really sticky. They also supply this highly attractive white netting AKA a peach🍑 or pear bruise preventative thingy! she plugged in the leads, flipped on the switch and I felt absolutely nothing! Just a warming sensation I have to wear this thing 18 hours a day on average. Overall my life expectancy doubles to about 10 years. Next weekly be getting 5 days of chemotherapy in the mail and for the next month I wear the Optune and for 5 days I take a higher dose of chemo☹️🤢🤮yucky. After all that, I get to take another MRI and go from there. Do the same next month and the next. The battery pack only weight 3 pounds and comes in a carrying case. After awhile I feels like a bowling 🎳 ball attached to my hea! All the equipment is replaceable or I can have duplicates all the way down to the tape, blades for the electric shaver!

You've got this Sue! <3
You are rocking your new look!
That sounds so promising! Still praying for you!
Sue from Diane I had a port put in over five years ago to get my chemo. The rest of the group in the room chatted the whole time, but I always fell asleep! Later when my chemo was done I was advised to have the port taken out because of the chance of infection. The nurses told me this was silly and to keep it as long as it was useful, so I did. You might say it is in my jugular, but I know I have this lump above my left breast and I can feel a cord under my skin that seems to lead to my collar bone - hooked on? I always figured it was plugged into my artery. No problem what so ever and the best way to have my blood thinner checked every four weeks to keep track of my blood thinner - and no bruises except on the port. I would bruise easily on my arm too. You are so blessed to have Bry and your kids to keep an eye on you. They don't want you to have to risk a seisure. I'm surprized there isn't an agency that comes to the house to assist you with bathing, but on the other hand it is a labor of love for Leilou to help you with it. Think of all the times you washed her butt! Remember Jesus is in control and there is an angel holding your hand all the time. Keep the faith. Love from Lowell and Diane (Don't worry about the typing, who cares?)
