Thank you for visiting the Uplift Mark Post Hope page. Mark's symptoms began spontaneously one night in October 2016. He awoke to a strange twitching sensation going up and down his left side. The following weeks his left arm and hand felt week. After months of testing, many suspected illness were eliminated and the diagnosis of ALS remained. Since then disease has shown no mercy in its progression.

Mark continues to work as a Catholic youth minister, as he has for the past 27 years. He loves serving the Lord in this way and is heartbroken by the idea of giving up mintering to teens if the disease continues to progress.

Mark believes with all his heart, mind and soul that God can heal him completely of this disease. We ask for your prayers for a miraculous healing in this life. However, we also trust that our God will provide the grace we need to bear this trial. Mark frequently tells people that his life is in God's hands, since the Lord is the author and finisher of his life, as he is for all of us. We desperately wish that we could write the next chapter for the story. We would write of a spontaneous healing that results in the strengthening of the faith of all who have been praying for him.

Corpus Christi is Latin for "The Body of Christ"  this is the name of the parish for which Mark currently works. The Body of Christ is also Christ's church, Christ's hands and feet, here on earth. This body has sustained us through relentless prayer, fasting, generous giving, and through love and friendship. We are very grateful for family and friends who have encamped around us as we travel this frightening trail.
