Disconnect Complete
We are happy to report that Chad made it through his first administration of Chemo and his pump was disconnected. He's done well but has started to experience a little bit of the side effects - nausea, a different sensation in his fingers and toes and sensitivity to cold when he takes a sip of a drink. Chad is sluggish and moving around slowly but he said he doesn't feel bad and is not in any pain.
Chad continues to appreciate the cards and notes in the mail and the posts on this page. It perks him up and makes him feel loved. Your support, positive energy and prayers do make a difference!

Every time I think of you going through this it breaks my heart, but for some reason when I think of you I always see you smiling and worrying about everyone else. That's always been you. Even in the face of all this I know you are super strong and will get through it with your positive attitude. I pray that the side effects of your chemo regiment will not be too bad for you. Hoping that all the love and prayers from everyone will ease your pain and make this whole thing easier for you. Looking forward to seeing you in a couple weeks.
Glad the first session went well. Not sure if you have any dietary restrictions but good old Barrits Ginger Beer from Bermuda always calms my tummy when I drink it - might help with nausea. I suggest leaving out the Black Seal though😉
Chad and Aja- Lauren and I are thinking of you and knowing your love and laughs will go a long way to frustrate the cancer. When you’re ready for a Tribe game- there’ll be tickets with your name on them! Take care of each other- our thoughts and love with you!
