Moved to a new room!
The plastics team came over and tightened my incision with clamps. And left them there!!! You can see the scissor-like objects dangling from my wound.
Every day they will tighten the sutures until the wound is closed. It’s sorta the way braces work but with skin. 🤪😂
My very nice nurse packed up my tricycle and loaded down my wheelchair. The new nurses helped me organize my belongings.
Getting over to the other bed without disturbing the clamps was surprisingly easy. They lined up the two beds, put me on a flat plastic slide and it didn’t even hurt the way we all worked together.
I still have a 101.7 fever. They think it’s a UTI. I think so too.
Thanks for all the prayers!

Continuing to pray for your recovery ❤️🩹
Oh my God, Amy, I have never seen anything like this, those scissor like instruments are unbelievable and to think they will be adjusting the closure stitches is truly amazing. So happy your move to new room was done safely and without injury. Your faith, positivity, and strength will get you thru this along with all the love and prayers sent to you each day. Sending my love and continued prayers, xoxo 🙏🙋♀️❤️👏💐
Thanks for the reports, Amy. I can't imagine all that metal paraphernalia hanging off my leg and trying to be comfortable with my leg being held up and still for me. I would have the jitters, I think! Praying for you especially; but, also your family immediate and extended.
Thank you all for your encouragement!
Yes, the encouragement and prayers are so appreciated!
Wow, Amy! That's amazing and a lot attached to you. But it will help you heal. I hope you are comfortable and that whatever is causing your fever goes away very soon. Praying you get a good night's sleep. ♥ 🙏
