We've Moved!
Ava is now hanging out at Children’s Specialized Rehab in New Brunswick where she will get longer hours daily with her respiratory, occupational and physical therapists. We miss our PICU friends in Morristown, and cannot adequately express our gratitude to the staff there. But we are so grateful to have more time with the therapists here, which hopefully will result in a more rapid improvement for Ava.
Ava has been sprinting (breathing on her own without any medical assistance) for more and more time each day - a full four hours this morning! Once she is able to breathe without assistance (at least during the day) and eat without aspirating, Dan and I will take her home to Dempsey in Hoboken!
Thank you for all you are doing to support our little family. We are grateful for your kindness, and we will continue to update you on Ava’s progress.
