Saturday morning prayer from Mom
Dear God and Universe, Edie, and inner self (sometimes I summon the unconscious me),
Thank you for those who take time away from their own lives to be with friends and family in need, and thank you for the countless others who love and support from afar! Thank you for our planet that consistently provides life, beauty, and examples of resilience.
I pray that you recognize that this world needs Liza’s courage and compassion. Liza loves sunshine, sunsets, fresh air, beaches, and mountains. She loves animals and caring for our planet. God please see her potential to work for all that is beautiful in this world.
I pray that you be with Liza today as she builds her strength and resilience to crush the tumor and restore her brain and body. Help us and her medical team to heal Liza in every way, especially those not yet understood by science, so that the tumor becomes dust that Liza blows into the world’s beauty! Allow Liza to play on the beach with her own children and inspire all!!

For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. Psalm 139:13-14 Dear Lord, thank you for Liza! This animal-loving, planet-loving, sunshine, beachy, beautiful young lady. Liza (and mom) ever since we heard this news we have not and will not stop praying for you. We look forward to moms prayers and updates as they help us to pray very specifically for your needs. Dear Lord we praise you that you are in this place with Liza and her family. May they feel your presence. We pray for healing for Liza’s brain and her body. We pray the radiation will turn this tumor to dust. We pray for Liza’s medical team and her mom and all those surrounding Liza to facilitate her healing. We praise you for Dr Q’s wisdom that there is so much we don’t know. What we do know Lord is that Liza is fearfully and wonderfully made! Praise you for the gift of Liza Burke! We lift up Liza, her medical team, her mom, and Jack, and all of Liza’s family and friends. We pray for healing, strength and resiliency. 🙏

I have been following your posts and it is my first time to comment. My daughter is a KD at UGA and although she is a few years younger than Liza, she knows of her and has been deeply concerned and worried for her and the family. I want you to know that we are praying for Liza everyday. She is a beautiful girl and she is a fighter. May God bless you and give Liza the strength she needs to heal. 🙏🏻
