Laura’s 9:30pm Wednesday update
I doubt Mother Nature gets much more generous than she did today… a morning visit off the dock by a few passing dolphins and later sea turtles. Liza’s heartbeat was rapid this morning but it didn’t stop her from wiggling her toes for the hospice workers, showing off her white teeth when complimented, and scrunching her nose etc to let us know she’s listening. She inspires us hourly.
Lots of laughs and tears were shared on and by her bed while we told stories (endless headstands as a preschooler, surfing and zip lining in Costa Rica, high school parties, sky diving, etc) and looked through old photos on our phones.
Tonight we’ll continue our Hunger Games trilogy. Not surprisingly, Liza’s movies have a common theme: strong, authentic young women with a sense of adventure.
Pray for Liza’s courage and strength along the journey. No doubt she’ll blaze her way, like everything she attempts, well!

It is so comforting that Liza has her close love ones surrounding her. I experienced hospice with my father this past December. It was hard but it is a time I will never forget… Sharing stories and experiences, some that we had forgotten but enjoyed reliving. In my personal experience it was like being suspended in time. I did not want to let go but when the time came I was at peace and will forever live with those precious days. Liza has touched so many people in her life (the posts are a testament to that) and I know she will continue to do so wherever her travels take her. Sending positive energy, love and hugs to Liza, her family and all of her caregivers. 🧡🧡🧡
Thank you for sharing your heart each night. I have never met your beautiful Liza but grateful to get a glimpse into her life. Many prayers are being lifted up to our Heavenly Father for all.
I recently was reading of some of the greatest battles in the Bible. You know they all had a common theme? Be still. God will fight for you. I’m praying in the stillness of the beautiful days and dolphin visits God’s power is pouring out over you. He says “Be still and know that I am God” praying the beauty of His love covers you today.
I continue to send love and prayers for Liza, you, and your massive extended loving family, Laura. It has grown to thousands of people. Peace.

I am sending so much love to sweet Liza!! I have never met someone with a heart like hers, she is a fighter and loves bold for everyone around her. She has the most special gift of lighting up any room she is ever in and makes everyone feel so happy and loved. I am praying so much for Liza, her family, and her caregivers and I know God is wrapping His arms around each of you so tightly and will continue to fill y’all with peace, strength, and comfort!
