The Best Birthday Gift
The best part of birthdays (once you're over a certain age) is hearing from friends and remembering good times together. It's especially true this year. I am most grateful for all the support and love I've experienced for Bob and for me in this last month. And the best part is that I'm happy to share good news today.
Bob has been home for 5 days and he's doing better each day. Now that he's on blood thinners, I have to keep him away from knives and other sharp objects. :) I also had to monitor his blood pressure during the fourth quarter and OT of yesterday's Seahawks game. Thankfully, the right outcome happened and all is well in Seahawks land. (Sorry Packer fans - what's up with them this year? And thanks for sending Russell Wilson our way!)
Bob's goal is to walk outside using his walking poles each day to build up strength and endurance that he lost from all those days in the hospital. The journey continues to reclaiming his health.
It is a birthday filled with many miracles. Carpe Diem! (I knew the years I spent studying Latin at Mercy High School would come in handy some day. That doesn't make me sound too nerdy - does it?)

Sister Monica would be so proud! Your news about Bob is indeed good. The season has just begun, so don't rule out our Green Bay Packers. Yes, the Seahawks are doing well - AGAIN!
