Bob,

My name is Ron. On October 5, 2013 I was hit by a wave at Laguna Beach, California and had sustained a spinal cord injury and my lungs filled with salt water. I was not supposed to make it but here I am learning to walk again... I am working my way back and live hear in Kirkland. I also do out patient therapy at Evergreen.

In the process of recovery I met Steve who has recovered from a spinal cord injury. We would like stop by briefly and encourage you as fellow travelers. My email is [email protected]. My cell number is 610-310-0375.

Hey buddy. Long time no talk! Just heard about your boating accident and couldn't believe our ears. What a real tough thing to have gone through. One of my fond memories was when we jogged across the new I-90 bridge into Seattle. Might be a while before we can do that again:) Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Mary and the kids for a speedy and complete recovery. BTW, we're now living in Sammamish so we're not very far away and would love to connect up when you're up to it. Love ya, Dave & Kristina

Hi Bob, Mary and family,
What a journey you have been on and continue yet. It's nice to know how incidents bring people closer together. It would be hard to count all your blessings among them. So many prayers and good wishes. Wouldn't it be great if you could bank them for future needs? So happy to hear you are going home.
Our love and prayers.

Hi Bob,
Not a moment goes by that we don't think about you and have even asked our church friends to offer prayers for your full recovery. Even offered Mass and said rosarys. Covering every angle. Progress may seem slow but remember you already climbed one mountain, so we are sure you can climb this one and come out strong. May God continue to give you increased strength daily and a spirit to match. Love, Jim & Carol (Wind Lake, WI).

Hey, Bob … you are one adventurous man. Mountain climbing, boating, and now diving! Enough already with the heroics. Take time to REALLY come up for air—rest and relax. We'll do everything in our power to support that! Much love and hugs …

So glad to see this clearinghouse for information and equally glad to hear Bob's making his way back to his family and friends... that was WAY too close.

So glad to hear that Bob is doing much better! I completely understand the stress & anxiety of having a loved one in ICU. (having been in that situation myself) You are not alone & our thoughts & prayers are with you.

Much love,
