Roller Coaster Ride (but the State Fair just ended?)
Good news: yesterday's blood test show that the blood thinning medication has finally kicked in and Bob no longer needs to do self-injections. That's a blessing!
And yesterday's visit to the Physical Therapist was especially impactful (no pun intended) in that the therapist was also a specialist in handling vestibular disorders such as labyrinthitis and vertigo. This has been an ongoing challenge for Bob since he had his first bout of labyrinthitis 5 years ago. And the vertigo has sometimes affected Bob's ability to get up after lying down or sitting making therapy more challenging.
The therapist performed the Canalith repositioning procedure (or CRP for short) to help dislodge some crystals in Bob's ear canal. The procedure involved Bob wearing Frenzel goggles while the therapist manipulated Bob's head with both gentle and seismic like movements...to which Bob's response was "Oh CRaP" at several points along the way. So even though the Washington State Fair closed on Sunday, Bob got to experience his very own roller coaster ride in the Rehab Center...with no waiting in line!
Now for those who know about our state's recent legalization of cannabis, I want to emphasize this was the Canalith procedure and did not involve eating any funny-tasting brownies. As liberal a state as we are, I don't believe those were sold at the State Fair (but you never know!).
So while I used the incantation Carpe Diem in Monday's post, Bob's variation "Crape (rhymes with Frappe) Diem" was the call du jour yesterday.

Sounds like some of my chiropractor sessions, Bob. Keep at it, it will get better.
