Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! December 25, 2009, 12:57 AM

I thought I would take some time this quiet Christmas Eve and post an update since it has been a while. Steve and I pray this update finds you having cherished time with family and friends. We are so thankful for the countless gifts we have received this year by so many of you in the form of encouraging notes, uplifting phone calls, quality time together, inspiring and gracious notes on this site, and mostly for the prayers you have lifted up on our behalf to our Abba Father! Thank you.[...]

Redefining Agony

Redefining Agony October 26, 2009, 11:15 PM

My body longs for relief and my soul for rest but my prayers to Christ brought me to a new place of understanding. The following poem is an outflow of my heart during the depths of pain. I pray it will bless you and bring you hope for the situations you are facing that seem "larger than life." I posted a picture from our trip from the Garden of Gethsemane in the Photo Gallery. The trees look like they have "grieved" for many years to me. Take a moment to take it in. God's blessings on you, my dear friends.

Return to Home

Return to Home September 12, 2009, 5:55 PM

I thought I would send an update to follow-up on my last update from Israel. I cannot begin to thank each of you enough for your intercessory prayers on my behalf during our trip to NY, Greece, and Israel. I am thrilled to report that the sinus and respiratory infection with high fever that hit me in Greece and miraculously cleared completely overnight after my mom sent out an update pleading for your prayers has remained healed without a hint of a sniffle or cough. Additionally, we had asked your prayers for strength and stamina for the consistently long days of touring in Israel.[...]

Praises and Thanks from Israel!

Praises and Thanks from Israel! August 29, 2009, 7:49 PM

Great news indeed! I am sitting in my hotel room overlooking the sunset on the Sea of Galilee while reveling in the great health I have had today! My high fever broke during the night and is now gone. All of the congestion in my head, ears, and chest was completely gone when I woke up this morning! There is not a trace of my sinus, throat, and respiratory infection remaining. Not even a sniffle!! My energy is rebounding and I am looking forward to the remainder of our trip. Keep us in your prayers for sustained energy and safety.[...]

August 28, 2009, 8:31 PM

As of 3:30 this afternoon (10:30pm Israel time), Steve emails that they made it safely to Israel and that after 36 hours into her antibiotics, Lee seems to be improving but is not out of the woods yet. She did get to participate today and they have another physician on their bus who has some supplemental anitbiotics if the Augmentin doesn't get the job completely done.[...]

Urgent Prayer Request

Urgent Prayer Request August 27, 2009, 11:26 PM

This is Lee's mom, Martha. As Lee wrote in her last update, she and Steve were leaving New York for their Greece and Holy Land Tour. We just received a phone call from Lee in Athens Greece where she and Steve will be boarding a flight to Tel Aviv shortly. Lee has developed a sinus infection and an upper respiratory infection. This is accompanied by a high fever. There is a doctor traveling with their group and he has been able to get antibiotics for Lee. All of this has drained her energy further. Please pray for healing for Lee and for Steve as he cares for her, so that they will be able to enjoy the remainder of the trip. They are scheduled to be in Israel until Thursday, Sept. 3rd.[...]

Reflections from New York

Reflections from New York August 24, 2009, 7:25 PM

I am writing you from our international terminal at JFK airport in New York. We have been in NY City since last Thursday and have had a wonderful time so far. We depart this afternoon for Athens, Greece where we will be for almost a week and then we fly into Tel Aviv where we will spend almost another week visiting the Holy Land. This trip has been planned since before my health deteriorated but after much prayer and consultations with the doctors (and investing in travel insurance), we have decided to make the trip. I would covet your prayers for health, and especially supernatural energy to combat my chronic fatigue. I did wake up yesterday with a sore throat and head cold so your prayers for quick resolution of this would be coveted as well. My last health prayer request would be for my colonic motility which often becomes even more of an issue with travel and can become quite problematic.[...]
