Surgery Update
Lee made it out of surgery around 6 p.m. and her surgeon reported that the procedure went “according to plan” but whether or not it will achieve the desired results will take a few days to determine. He anticipates she will need several more days in the hospital to manage her pain and IV nutrition until the effectiveness of her revised feeding tube placement can be determined.
I finally got to talk with Lee around 8:30 this evening and she had just made it back to her room. She is in a lot of pain and really struggling to find a position of comfort. I would ask for your continued and specific prayers for her to be able to get some rest overnight. This is the most challenging hospitalization we’ve navigated in a long time since I’m not allowed to visit and it is very difficult to hear her in so much pain and not be able to be by her side for comforting.
Thanks for all the outpouring of prayers and support and I will do my best to provide periodic updates until Lee is able to resume doing so personally.
