Nurse Martha
Just wanted to offer a midweek update since Lee made it home for the weekend and his been settling in and trying to catch up on a major sleep deficit. Her first four days at home have certainly had their ups and downs with several recurrent bouts with the nausea and vomiting interposed with some precious time to hang out and watch movies with her mom. The most encouraging parts for me have the gradual but steady return of her spunk and wit in the midst of tough circumstances.
“Nurse Martha” has been such a tremendous blessing and an extremely fast learner on all fronts with Lee’s home care. There has been no task too large or small for her to tackle and we are so thankful she was able to come out and join us for these two weeks.
Lee has a follow up appointment with her surgeon today so we would welcome your prayers for that appointment as we shift toward determining what long term treatment plans will involve. Unless something major pops up I/we will plan to update sometime over the weekend. Thanks for following along!

Lee has the best nurse that I know. When I has surgery she spent the night with me and before the night was over we had the best laugh ever. Lee ask Mom about it.
