Update
We received Article 5 on January 7 and spent the last two weeks waiting and hoping for the next step, NOC (No Objection Certificate) from India. Since Kira’s state has a unique two-visit arrangement, the rest of our checklist looks like this:
NOC (1-2 months)
Court petition/Receive court date (months?)
TRAVEL #1 TO HOLD MY BABY GIRL and appear in court for verbal approval. (1-2 weeks)
Come home for 2-5 weeks while they prepare:
- Written court approval
- Article 23
- Birth Certificate
- Passport
TRAVEL #2 TO BRING MY BABY GIRL HOME (1-2 weeks)
I added it up, and in all the videos we’ve received I have 138 seconds documented of Kira’s life. Look HOW CLOSE we are to those seconds becoming hours, and days and weeks.
My prayer every day is that wherever our papers are sitting today, that they would move to the next desk. Please continue to pray for things to keep moving.

Oh you know I am praying!! ❤️❤️
Praying with all my heart, my dear ones! And longing with you for the day you can hold you baby girl and bring her home.
Praying with you friends!!!
Praying that in this country of slow moving documents, yours will catch a miraculous breeze and move along swiftly to the place that will allow you to move right along with them to the point of being able to hold your little one in your arms!
Praying with you, friends! We know the hand of God can move those docs as fast as He pleases. I’m also praying for your Baby Girl. She’s so loved already.
Lord Jesus, would you please take our small faith in a big GOD and move papers, and people and planes quickly, effectively and safely from one spot to the next? Thank you! Would you also please draw near to the whole Capistrant family as Dave and Kelsey and Kira are separated at this time? Even now Lord, please continue to meet their needs and meld their hearts! Thank you Lord so much for who you are and what you do! AMEN
