Beginning again

Welcome to our PostHope site! We are excited to share with you that we are in the process to adopt again! We will share updates and progress on our next adoption from this site. You can follow it to get notified about when we post an update. We have significantly reduced our use of Facebook, so plan to catch all the updates here. 

Here's what you probably want to know right now!

• We are adopting through India again, although our child could be from any state in India. (In all likelihood, not the same state as Kira.)
• Our child will be less than three years old.
• It could be a boy or a girl. If you ask Kira she will tell you she's getting a sister. Worst case scenario in Kira's mind is she gets both a brother and a sister. Perhaps you can infer our first prayer request...
• We have completed our home study and are waiting on our I-800A (US immigration) approval. Once we get our I-800A we will use that to register with India's adoption authority (CARA), and once we are registered we will be set to receive a referral (child's file).
• India's adoption process had begun to slow down even pre-Covid, and with the added closures and precautions, the process has become even more lengthy. It could be a few more months before we receive I-800A approval, then a few weeks for CARA registration, then 3-18 months before we receive a referral, and months before we would travel to bring our child home. 

We are not setting any goals for fundraising this time, but welcome your partnership if you feel so led. Our primary request is your partnership in prayer for us and for this lengthy process, and that we would trust God's good timing for each step.
