Calm on the surface
A pleasantly uneventful day for Cindy as she finished the last of her induction chemo just after midnight today. Colleague, Emily from Hillside Elementary visited this morning followed by the "dynamic duo" and twins, Rita and Rhea from our Grace Chapel family who accompanied Cindy for a couple laps around the floor. At the end of the day, sister Judy and I visited, including another 2-lap walk.
All that Cindy has experienced so far by way of side-effect is overall weakness, a dulled appetite and a third day of a metallic taste in her mouth. Our prayer is that the storm is all happening beneath the surface, leukemic cells beaten back by the powerful medicines she's been receiving this week!

Way to go Cindy. You didn't give away our real activities on our visit today. Swinging from the fake bush outside your window, sneaking off the grounds and out for a buffet lunch and playing horse shoes in the parking lot (even though you got hit in mouth with the metal horseshoe). Hence your weakness, dull appetite and metal tasting in the mouth. Do you think?
Rita, Rita, Rita .... I can't stop chuckling while also wondering if we may have to put you on "girlfriends" probation!
Rita you are too funny! Praising God, Cindy, for your strength and resilience! Continuing to pray for remission. Love you sis! God's got this!!!
Prayers are being answered! Praising God for her not having any major side effects.
Glenn, you are doing such a beautiful job of keep everyone abreast of Cindy's courageous journey. I have been a silent groupie to your Post-hope daily update. I just thought I'd pipe in tell you that I am in awe of the power of love and faith your Trevison clan possess. You are blessed.
Denise, so kind for you to say. Thanks! We love silent groupies as well as no so silent ones.
