Cindy Missives 1
Just thought I'd share some of the wonderful messages I've received about Cindy's life and passing. These "missives" are just a few of the many, many I've received, read, re-read and keep near for my end of day moments when I just want to steep myself in her.

Glenn,
My name is Cameron, and I worked with Cindy at Beechview many years ago when I first started teaching in the classroom next door to her and Rita Adams and now at Hillside as well. I got to speak with you briefly at the viewing, but I know you met so many people.
I am writing for two reasons. First, I just wanted to tell you how sorry I am for your loss and also what a beautiful service it was. The music was beautiful (many of my favorites) and the words spoken were so beautiful. It was such an amazing tribute to wonderful Cindy.
Secondly, on April 8th the day that she passed, I left Hillside feeling such sadness, disbelief, and loss. As I was driving home that afternoon though, I couldn't help but notice the extraordinary beauty of the sky. When stopped at a light, I took some pictures that I wanted to share with you.
Later that evening, when I was out, the sky looked like the heavens had opened up welcoming Cindy. I snapped a picture again. I wanted to share them with you because I just felt her presence up there. I was so taken with the beauty, and I thought they would be meaningful for you to see.

(My reply....) Cameron, I'm so grateful to you for sharing your thoughts about Cindy and what was going through your mind April 8 that prompted you to stop to photograph the beautiful sky then share them with me! Did the Lord prompt you go for it and reach out to me? If so, well done good and faithful servant and sister of mine in Him!
Cameron, my spirit must be a little clogged up because I've been praying and hoping for a few little signs or senses that Cindy is safely in God's arms now even as I wrestle with feeling glad for her and sad for me and us that she slipped away when we all thought she was on track to stay a while longer. Your note is a timely answer to that prayer, one of many I'm sure that God will respond to because He is so faithful when we draw near to Him.
I do sort of remember you Thursday evening although it was all a blur and I enjoyed speaking to multiple half-circles of Hillside and FPS people, each with a memory of our Cindy. Wish I could have recorded them all. Many such stories are shared with the cards I've received that I've put in a little bag to keep near me to go through with a glass a wine nearby.
These photos and especially your note are indeed meaningful to me. Thank you for sharing them with me.
Glenn
