While doing my devotions this morning, I read this from a family that has endured cancer twice. I hope it encourages you!
“When asked how they have managed to weather so many storms in their lives, the mom responded, “We bend with the winds of each storm because we are deeply rooted in our faith. If there is anything we have learned, it is how necessary it is to commit to making a consistent comeback from the heartbreaks and disappointments of life with a heart of love and compassion, despite our faults and imperfections.”
They believe that the dark moments we face make moments of joy brighter by living by the motto:
“Do right by yourself and others because there is less traffic on the high road!”

It was good to see Cory again. Although he couldn’t respond at the time, we had a good conversation. It’s weird to me seeing adult Cory, because in my mind he is little blonde Cory who used to come over for sleepovers and to play with his cousins.
I have never stopped praying for Cory throughout the years and continue to do so. Praying for the peace that passes all understanding for you Sarah.
And for complete healing for Cory. I believe in a God who is still in the business of miracles.

How forunate I feel having had the opportunity to talk a bit with Cory last week as he was heading into the CC for an interview. I heard all about his kayaking, new neighbor (Patrick), going fishing with Patrick, the "crew" at CC that is supporting him and how terrific Sarah has been. He didn't spend time on the past challenges but focused on the people that are important in his life and some recent great times he has had. I am so very sorry that this new set of challenges has arisen. Thank you Sarah for you deep dive on how your and Cory's life has been going. Keeping you both in my prayers. bob
