Head for the Cure: Eden running 5k to crush brain cancer. Join us!

Hi friends and relatives,

On July 9, Eden and I, along with Alina, will be running a 5k called Head for the Cure to raise money for brain cancer research. And, we'd love it if you could be with us - in person or "virtually" and help us to support this amazing organization. And yes, I just said Eden will be running a 5k in the middle of cycle 5 of her chemo regimen. That is just how Eden rolls.

In Judaism, as in other religions and ethnicities, we deal with adversity in 2 main ways: cooking/eating and raising money. This falls in the raising money category. Why do we do this? Over 200,000 people each year are diagnosed with a brain tumor. Over 200,000! Wow, that is a huge number. Eden and I, and our family, are the beneficiaries of years and years of hard work by dedicated doctors, clinical researchers, patients and others who have done the painstaking work of research, trials, data analysis, and patient care to identify the therapies, medications, and treatment plans that result in brain cancer SURVIVORS. There is so much left to do, and supporting brain cancer research will give us and the hundreds of thousands of other patients and millions of family members and friends who love them, the hope that we can find a cure - or at least better and more lasting treatments.

We deeply appreciate the love and support we've received these past 11 months. Now that Eden is 2/3 done with her treatment this year, we're beginning to think about our "new" life in the months ahead. There's so much we want to do with our children, with each other, and with all of you - and helping to give back and FIGHT hard will no doubt be a passion for us for the rest of our lives. One small step for us will be running this 5k next month. Thank you for considering to join the FIGHT too. With love and never ending friendship,

Dan
