Surgery is scheduled for 12:30pm ET
We're checking in and Edward is quite displeased with the pre-op dietary restrictions (no solid food after midnight, no breast milk after 6:30am, and no clear liquids after 8:30am)! At least he's still breastfeeding so was able to have an early morning snack. =)
The procedure(s) is expected to take 3.5 hours, so hopefully we'll have more news later this evening.

Bless his heart!!! It must be hard when you are so young to understand WHY mommy and daddy won't let you eat or drink. Praying for you all today! Thanks for sharing updates.

3ABN Trust Services stopped and had special prayer for Edward and family at his scheduled surgery time.
Raytha O'Connell: Prayers ascending, claiming Psalms 139:5,; James 5:15; Psalms 103:3; Matthew 7:7 God's presence in the surgical suite, and guiding the surgeon's hands, granting him Divine discernment!

Praying for little Edward and family! One good thing about surgery, he is sleeping so he won't remember that he's hungry - our son was in surgery at a similar age so I well remember this scenario...

Dear Edward, Grammie and Grandaddy are praying for you! We have prayed that your Angel would be beside you even as you sleep peacefully through your surgery. We have prayed that your anesthesia provider is competent, compassionate and calm, that your surgeon is skillful and wise. We know that doctors and nurses can diagnose and treat you (medically and surgically), but only Jesus can heal you. We are so thankful that your Mommie has been so careful to feed you wonderful vegetables and fruit, and that you are a healthy little boy. We have prayed for your Mommie and Daddy, your 3 year old big brother and best playmate Henry, as well as for your Nannie and Poppie. So many people love you and are praying for you. I attempted to post this once before I actually registered, so if something similar manages to find its way here, I'm sure you won't mind, mainly because you can't read.
