20/30; 2/3; 66.666666%

Eric has officially completed 20/30 radiation fractions and is currently at the 2/3 done mark!

He is continuing to do really well. His lab work continues to hold steady. Symptoms are well managed. His care team seems impressed with how well he is doing. Luckily no more incidents of cerebral edema. The radiation finally resulted in some hair loss, so Eric decided to shave his head to minimize the patchiness of radiation induced hair loss. Admittedly this was a tough stage. Eric's hair loss was emotional for both of us, and shaving was equally emotional.

We can finally see a light at the end of this tunnel and are excited to be able to look forward to going home. He will have a scheduled month break in treatment to allow a little recovery prior to starting the next phase.

Eric's youngest sister, Julie, is spending some time with us this week in SLC. And it has been wonderful to have her here. Family hugs are the best!

We continue to try to uphold the 1:1 treatment to adventure ratio, although at this point, I think we are tipping the scale toward more adventures than treatments, which is 100% ok with both of us. Hiking, Jeeping, Camping, exploring, running the Park City Trail Series 5k race, you name it! We continue to try to find new areas of SLC and UT to explore.

So happy to hear how will treatment is going, relatively speaking! And how awesome that the adventures continue!!! If you have not yet done so, a true adventure would be to go to the location where genealogy is done right in the heart of Salt lake city. Even if you don't stay long, going in and starting that processes is an adventure all its own! Maybe they will invite you to lunch as special guests?

Some people look even BETTER without hair, and you are so much better off without that itchy fringe, tickling your neck. And it’s so hot here in La Crosse that we are ALL thinking about that sleek, shaved look. I hope that Julie brought her munchkins… those cuties are sure to bring some smiles. We are sending love and positive vibes from God’s Country!
