Staying the Course

Eric continues to do very well. His care team appears to be impressed with how well he is tolerating radiation and chemo. His energy levels fluctuate, but I think we have figured out how to manage it. His lab results continue to tell us that he is stable and maintaining levels within the proper ranges. 

Eric's youngest sister, Julie was able to visit us last week, and as a fantastic surprise, she was able to extend her visit through the weekend to surprise more of the Sullivan Clan that arrived in SLC yesterday.  What a fun surprise it was! Despite the surprise, no lies were told! 

Since Julie was able to extend her trip, she was able to cheer on team Sullivan Strong as we participated in the Huntsman Sportsfest 10k! Eric finished the 10k course like the rockstar that he is.  Johnanna also finished the 10k! Her first 10k race. After the race, we were all able to sneak in a little pampering....pedicures....how wonderful that felt on tired legs. 

Emily, Jimmy and Fina arrived yesterday afternoon quickly followed by Eric's parents, Drew and Donna.  It appears that we are officially taking over SLC! 

We are looking forward to spending this week with most of the Sullivan Clan, finishing up treatment.....only 7  more radiation fractions to go! And then heading home to Helena for some rest and recovery. We can only imagine how good it will be to be in our own home, our own beds, and a month off from treatment for Eric to be able to truly start to recover. 

So for now, we stay the course but we are definitely looking forward!
